Drape Figure Series"This is an extension of the Drape Series. In the original Drape paintings, the Drape is represented by both the form of the piece and the actual fabric. Here, I am the drape; this is a fantasy of protecting the protagonist and the environment itself, returning to my artistic roots of fantasizing on the human form. Blue as the unifying colour represents the tropical inspiration for this idea. It enhances the physical phases of each work, the outlines of their shapes, and the brighter colours." - AJT |
